American Federation of Muslims of Indian Origin (AFMI) will hold 2 days of International Convention on Dec 30 & 31 at Maulana Azad University-Jodhpur.

AFMI (www.afmi.org) is an international organization of Indian Muslim Diaspora based in North America. The membership consists of Muslim professionals, academicians, entrepreneurs, journalists and social activists.

A large number of delegates from USA, Canada, Europe, Middle East, Australia, etc. have confirmed their participation.

For the last 25 years, AFMI has held these yearly international conventions on education in different cities of India, covering about 21 states of India. Meritorious students who top in their board examination of X and XII from each state receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals + Scholarships. Last year 117 students from 23 states of India attended but this year AFMI is expecting a larger number.

In the past AFMI’s Chief Guests have been, 3 PMs of India, 15 Governors (different state), 12 Union Ministers, 11 State CMs, many academicians, especially VC, social & political activists and community leaders.
