Ms Mehrin Mahmedhanif Soneji was born in Gujarat, India. She migrated with her family to Sydney in 2004.

She completed her secondary education from Auburn Girl’s High school. She completed tertiary education and obtained Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) at University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Master of Teaching (Secondary) at University of Sydney. She was appointed to the permanent position in February 2017 as a Mathematics Teacher (secondary) Chester hills high school, Chester hill.
