As the Mayor of Blacktown City, I am pleased to provide a message for the Indian Crescent Society of Australia Inc. (ICSOA) newlestter.

Blacktown City has a vast multicultural community representing 177 nationalitites and speaking 169 languages. Our population of 350,000 is spread across 48 suburbs.

The work of ICSOA in supporting newly arrived migrants is a valuable, long-term investment in the future of Blacktown City, and your ongoing support is very much appreciated.

It is my privilege to hear of many community groups working towards creating a harmonious and multicultural society.

And ICSOA is the leading the way, as the first Indian Muslim organization which is networking and representing Indian Muslims migrants living in Australia.

At Council, we welcome and recognise the significant contribution that people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds impact the growth and success of Blacktown City and makes us who we are today.

The Indian community is one of the most prominent in Blacktown City and we are grateful for the contributions they have made to our city.
