ICSOA Fund raising Barbeque at Bunnings Marsden Park

On Sunday 3rd December, Indian Crescent Society of Australia Inc (ICSOA) arranged a fund-raising BBQ at Bunnings Marsden Park.

ICSOA is developing fund raising strategies to initiate an ICSOA-fund to support:

Victims of Fire, flood, catastrophe and natural calamities
Various research specially for the prevention of common diseases
Provide platform for harmonious relations among ethnic communities
Prevention of domestic violence and destitute
Education

This is a massive task and ICSOA has to go a long way to work on this. As per the available information, this was the first Halal BBQ by Indian Muslims at Bunnings to support the Australian community.

ICSOA – stands united to promote diversity, tolerance, integration and multiculturalism and we are proud to inform that ICSOA's BBQ has effectively communicated a message of peace, harmony and solidarity fromthe Indian Muslims of Australia.

Bunnings Marsden Park is located at a prime area in Western Sydney. There are a number of attraction points for kids & families as in this area such IKEA, Toys R Us and other shopping ventures.

Management, members and youth of ICSOA have participated in this event as a team and event was coordinated by ICSOA’s secretary Mr Fasih Uddin Khan.

Apart from ICSOA’s executive committee , excellent help was provided by Areeb Akhtar, Arif Salim, Iqtedar Abdi, Javed Akhtar, Mansoor Ahmed, Mohammad Zeyauddin, Salman Zeb Khan and Shabih Jafar in managing this event successfully. Support and help provided by the management and staff of Bunnings was highly appreciated by ICSOA's president Abbas Raza Alvi. The event started at 8 AM and continued till 4 PM.
